WHERE IS THIS UNCLAIMED PROPERTY?
The State of California holds roughly $13 billion in unclaimed funds -- owned by individuals, companies and organizations often unaware the state has their money. These accounts were transferred to the state by banks, brokerage firms, insurance and other companies that were unable to locate their owners.

HOW DO I CLAIM IT?
If you have the time, patience, technical skills and understanding of the often long and difficult claiming process, you can claim it yourself. You do not need to use CalClaim.
If, however, you prefer the ease and peace of mind you'll experience using CalClaim, which specializes in these types of claims (that's all we do!), then we are here to help you!
ABOUT CALCLAIM SOLUTIONS
CalClaim is registered as an Unclaimed Property Investigator with the California State Controller's Office. Registered investigators are private companies that help owners of unclaimed property claim their funds.
As a registered investigator, CalClaim understands the claiming process, the special requirements and all the"gotchas." We work as a liason between you and the state, so you never have to figure out the process, deal with the state bureaucracy, understand the filling of forms, and manage difficult government communications.
We work with you through the entire process, from the initial claim submission, through additional form filing and document submissions (if required), to final claim approval and payment to you! We receive nothing until you receive your funds.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT ARE YOUR FEES, AND HOW DO I RECEIVE THE FUNDS?
The state pays your claim directly to you, and we get paid only if you get paid. You pay nothing out of pocket, so there's no risk to you!
To cover our costs for finding the Unclaimed Property, contacting the owner, determining required documents, and going through the long and often difficult process of filing your claim, we charge 10% of the value of the claim, the industry standard. There are no other charges or fees.
Once the claim has been successfully completed, the state mails you a check for 90% of the value of the claim, and sends a separate check to us for 10% of the claim. We get paid only if you get paid!
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
The time varies, depending on the type of account. Some claims can be paid in as little as two to three months; most take longer, up to six months or more, depending on the documentation required and how many claims the state is processing at any particular time.
I'M CONCERNED ABOUT PRIVACY. IS MY INFORMATION SAFE?
We never ask clients about personal financial information, and never have access to their bank accounts or any other accounts. We only ask you for information the state requires.
WHAT IF THE OWNER OF THE UNCLAIMED PROPERTY (THE PERSON NAMED ON YOUR NOTICE) IS DECEASED?
The claimant must prove, by providing appropriate documentation, that they are the beneficiary and/or have the legal right to claim the account.
